Nope

Mad rain at the end of June, doesn't really seem very fair, does it.

Lesson learned.

Ouch report:

It happened: outside 11:15 am
Brief description of injury: Finn was punched in the face, because another child want to sit where he was sitting.

washed
T.L.C.
Additional comments: Finn was okay once I cleaned him up.

Is it weird that a mother is happy her son got punched in his face?
Well, he didn't instigate the fight, he didn't hit back, and his conclusion was: "You shouldn't hit your friends."
If this is what it takes, I am happy.

Street fair

It was the north beach festival last weekend.
The sun was hot. The food was good.
We only had to walk a block to get there.
It was a good weekend.

Music to my ears

I watched Phosphorescent at the Independent in April - this is from a recent gig he did in London.

What you do when no one is looking

Fellow blogger Lotta K posted this on her blog. Enjoy. It is beautiful.

Lotta's place: this is really funny

My routine in North Beach is starting to take shape

We sit and read on the green benches in the north-eaast corner of Washington Square, me and four fellow North Beacheans, when a man sits down next to us and start making calls on his cell-phone.
He is very loud.
On the back of his t-shirt it says: Blah Blah Blah.

He leaves when a group of kids gather around close by.
- Hold on a second, he shouts. I can't hear ya! It's too noisy here.

School's out!

It's the last day of school today, and my little daughter will no longer be a 3rd grader. A lot of things has happened in her life this year. A lot of changes. She found some wicked BFF's and fell in love with a boy. She's stayed true to her believes and worked super hard in school. She stuck out the rigorous ballet routine and kept her great sense of humour.

It's hard to keep up.
The more she thrives, the older I feel.

Telephone

My Nexus cell phone has broken down.
This is when I say: Isn't it scary how dependent you are on your mobile device? What on earth did we do before cell phones?

And it's true. What on earth did we do  if we wanted to get in contact? Pay visits? Talk to each other?
