
Bless call-center people. It can't be easy working in such a stressful environment, trying to keep up standards and good customer service. And be able to hear what the caller is saying.

- No, C-ecilia.
- Oh, I see. Cecilia. D for-
- No, no, no. You have the name right, but it's spelt with a C.
- Oh, OK. So S, E, S-

But you know what? The family name which I often had problems getting correct in Sweden - despite being Swedish - is always correct in Germany, and they tend to get my first name correct too. In Sweden it was always wrong. Even when I was born the little ad in the morning paper advertising my arrival had the wrong name.
Perhaps I was ment to be born in Germany... ;-)

Ann-Katrin: In the UK, they could never get my sur-name right. I was about to give in and take my husbands name, just so to not have to go through it yet another time.
But here in the states, they have no prob's with my last name, Richards, however, a very normal, English name, is proven to be a lot more difficult:).
Lillie: Jag kan tänka mig det, jag tycker att man liksom kan höra i bakgrunden hur stressigt och bullrigt det är - jag avundas dem inte!
